|
|
I was interested in knowing the best and cheapest insurance available for my road/off road buggy.
My insurance company only offers third party.
I would like to have comprehensive.
Doing a short ring around, most do not like, or will not insure, and or ask ridiculous amounts for full comprehensive insurance.
The other questions asked were, will the vehicle be used for off road activities, if so it will cost more, than if used only for road use ???.
Some will not cover at all for off road only on road.
Does the club have an insurance company?
The reason I ask, is some car clubs have associations with insurance company's, which offer huge discounts, if joined through the club?

I use Shannons and they are good. I am a member of the aussie Manx Club which helps keep costs down too. _________________ http://bajabuggy.weebly.com/index.html

Got knocked back, reason: No front gate security, and car is parked only under carport.
Not in lockable garage. |

That must be a new policy for Shannons.
I've never had any problems with them over that sort of thing.
Maybe the rot of having been taken over by one of the big companies is finally setting in and they are going to stop being the enthusiasts's insurance company. I hope not.
You may need to fit some lockable gates to your car port.
There is a company called Vigil, which claims to be an enthusiast's insurer and is in direct competition with Shannons. They would be worth a try. |
